Join us at Fun and Focused, a 3-day retreat with individualized training and learning. It is a teacherpreneur event like no other. In fact, we are capping the attendees at 28 so that we can give you the best experience possible!

This special event takes place October 18-21, 2019 at an upscale, luxurious 7,000 square foot home near Miramar Beach in Destin, Florida. You will be pampered and taken care of throughout the entire retreat. All the details, including lodging and meals, are taken care of for you. 

What will we be doing at Fun and Focused?

We have some amazing sessions and activities planned for you. This retreat is a beautiful combination of learning and relaxing. Learning presentations are workshop style, where you will first learn and then practice the information and tips provided. 

Here is the schedule (subject to minor changes):

Day 1:

Arrival time is 4:00pm - 6:00pm.

  • Once you arrive at the event location, you will be personally greeted and shown to your sleeping area. Then, you will relax by the pool, enjoy some snacks and your favorite beverage, and visit while all the attendees arrive. 
  • Once everyone has arrived, we will have an introductory session, where we will identify our goals for the retreat and also for our businesses.
  • A casual dinner will be served, followed by drinks and dessert. You can then hop in the hot tub, take a walk on the beach, or just enjoy time by the pool.

Day 2:

About the Location

With stunning views of the Gulf of Mexico and close-by beach access, this gorgeous Crystal Beach property will serve as the site of this fun-filled, upscale retreat.

The Space

This brand new, upscale 7,000 sq. ft. home boasts 9 luxurious bedrooms and 8.5 baths. Bedding options include 2 bunks rooms and 7 King Suites — sleeping a total of 30 guests. One bunk room sleeps 7 guests and the second bunk room sleeps 9 guests. All King Suites feature private bathrooms. 

First floor features a spacious game room with Golden Tee, Pool Table, foosball, TVs and a card table.

This home’s elegant gourmet kitchen is furnished with stellar top-of-the-line equipment such as stainless steel double-appliances, over sized sink, and exquisite shaker-style cabinets. 

An oversized dining area offers seating for 18 guests and 5 additional seats are located at the kitchen bar. Adjacent to the dining area you will find a large, high-end living area with stylish yet comfortable seating, a gas fireplace and television. There is a large deck off the dining room with plenty of extra seating with an unbelievable view of the pool.

The location also features phenomenal outdoor entertainment areas. Have a splash in the impressive custom-designed swimming pool complete with a hot tub, water feature, and pool bar seating for 5 guests. A covered lanai features an outdoor kitchen with a Viking grill, refrigerator, and television. Additional seating is located in front of the lanai’s fireplace. 

For excellent views of the Gulf of Mexico venture up to the tower which provides seating — making for the prime location to unwind with a glass of wine and good company.

Questions and Answers

Q: I've attended meet-ups and conferences before. How is this different?
A: This retreat is different than other meet-ups in several ways. First, it is open to a limited number of people, so you will get the individualized help you need. Each learning session is followed by a worktime so that you can put into practice what you just learned, with guidance as needed. Additionally, this is a luxurious retreat that includes all meals, lodging, a beach outing, and more!

Q: What is the cost of this retreat?
A: The total cost of Fun and Focused is $995. 

Q: I'm concerned about the cost. Why does it seem so expensive?
A: All of the planning and work has been done for you so that you can not only leave feeling pampered and refreshed, but also recharged with a new focus and perspective on your business. When you consider what you would normally pay for a 3 nights in a hotel room, all your meals and expenses, PLUS the individualized guidance and knowledge you'll gain at this event, you will understand that the cost is very fair.

Q: Why does the Florida retreat cost more than the Denver retreat?
A: Simply put, the price of the Florida beach house is quite a bit more.

Q: Can you save me a spot and allow me to pay later?
A: I'm sorry, but due to the very limited number of attendees, we cannot save spots. It is on a first come, first serve basis.

Q: Why are you only accepting 28 attendees?
A: I want each participant to have an absolutely amazing time and to learn as much as possible during the retreat. This will be an intimate, personalized event like none other.

Q: What exactly am I getting for the price of the retreat?
A: You will receive:

Q: Do you offer cancellations and refunds?
A: Refunds will be offered for cancellations through May 30th. From June 1st through July 31st, we allow you to transfer your ticket to another person. After July 31st, no refunds or transferring of tickets are permitted. This is due to the personalized nature of this event.

Q: How should I dress and what should I bring?
A: Dress comfortably, as this is a relaxing retreat with workshop-style learning. Casual dress is a-ok! You should bring the following items:

  • Laptop, drive, power cords, etc.
  • Your favorite pens, pencils, and markers
  • A wrapped gift of something from the area where you live ($15 or less)
  • A printed copy of a resource to use for the product photography session
  • Clothing for 4 days
  • Swimsuit
  • Beach towel
  • Sunscreen

Q: Will I have my own bed and bedroom?
A: While you won't have your own bedroom, you will have your own bed to sleep on. If you don't mind sharing a bed with a friend, that would be great, as we have a few king sized beds available. You can indicate that on the form when you sign up. (Thank you in advance!)

Q: Can I request a particular roommate or roommates?
A: Yes! After you pay, you will be directed to complete a form. On the form, there will be a space for you to make that request.

Q: What kinds of meals will be provided?
A: We will be going the extra mile to bring you delicious meals and snacks each day of the retreat. Breakfast will consist of fresh fruit, locally baked pastries, bagels, and other items. Lunches and dinners will be fabulous entrees and side dishes that we will be bringing in from some of our favorite restaurants.

Q: Can I have a snack between meals?
A: Definitely! We will have a large variety of snacks available to you at all times.
 

Q: What beverages will be available?
A: We will have a variety of sodas and alcoholic beverages for you to choose from. There is even a Margarita Machine on the property!

Q: What is the closest airport?
A: The Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport (VPS) is 17 miles from the house, while Pensecola International Airport (PNS) is 56 miles away.

Q: Can I bring my husband or my infant?
A: At most conferences, this would be completely fine. Because YOU are the focus of Fun and Focused, we ask that you please do not bring your husband or infant. We want you to completely focus on yourself and your business during this retreat. You will leave feeling rested, recharged, and ready to go!
